Friday, 9 September 2016, 11:00, Trubar House of Literature (Ljubljana, Slovenia).

The latest two releases in the Litteræ Slovenicæ collection are two German-language translations: Davorin Lenko’s Telesa v temi (Körper im Dunkeln / Bodies of Darkness; translated by Ann Catrin Bolton) and Vinko Möderndorfer’s Kot v filmu (Wie im Film / Like in a Film; translated by Tadeja Lackner-Naberžnik). We will be presenting both novels, as well as the Litteræ Slovenicæ series as a whole,  at the 31st Vilenica International Literary Festival, specifically at “The Marketplace of Slovene and Central European literature.” This event is a gathering that gives space for cultural exchange among leading Slovenian and Central European authors as well as literary mediators from Europe and elsewhere in the world. Present at the event will be editors from major publishing houses that publish literature in translation, well as literary festival organizers from the United States, Canada, Macedonia and Latvia. Tanja Petrič will present  Litteræ Slovenicæ and its history. The event will also mark the debut of the litteraeslovenicae.si website. Andrej Hočevar, who conceived of and designed the website, will also present the new website. Discussion will be in English.
