The Slovene Writers’ Association in cooperation with Periskop (an association that links Slovenia and Germany) was hosting two Slovene authors in Berlin on the weekend of the 23th and 24th of November 2019. Here, the poetry tandem Jure Jakob and Lidija Dimkovska and their new poetry translations were presented to the German public.
The poets appeared on 23th November 2019 in the Helmuth Pohren-Hartmann Salon (Brünnhildestraße 3). And on Saturday, the 24th of November the Slovene poets presented themselfs at the festival Neues slowenisches Kino at the famous Kino Sputnik in Berlin.
The two poets will present translations of their works, poetry collection from Jure Jakob was published withing the Litteræ Slovenicæ series and the poetry collection Schwarz auf weiß from Lidija Dimkovska emerged by the publishing house Parasitenpresse in Köln.
Jure Jakob presented a translation of her poetry collection »Delci dela« (»Werkstückchen«), which was published also in November 2019. The poetry collection was translated into German by Ann Catrin Bolton, edited by Tina Kozin.
The Berlin literary visit ended with a diner with the Slovene ambassador.
