Michael Thomas Taren graduated from the MFA Iowa Writer’s Workshop, and from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. To date he has published a volume of poetry (chapbook) 08 September 2009 (Factory Hollow Press, USA) and several translations of Slovene works in various literary reviews and journals in the USA (Harvard Review, Jubilat, Colorado Review, Fence ) and Great Britain (Poetry Review), as well as two books: Button Sampler (Ugly Duckling Press, 2008), and 7 Poets, 4 Days, 1 Book (Trinity University Press, 2009). In 2010, he received a Fulbright scholarship to study in Slovenia.
