Jens Sakelšek (born 1990 in Wipperfürth, Germany) completed his MA in Conference Interpreting in German, Slovenian and Italian in 2019 at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz; his master’s thesis was on the specific difficulties blind and severely visually impaired simultaneous interpreters face and how they cope with them. He lives and works as a (literary) translator and interpreter between Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Austria. His translations includes works by Eva Markun, Veronika Simoniti, Boris Pahor and Jurij Černič.
